The Crest Academy is delighted to share the excellent results achieved by our A Level and level 3 BTEC students. All of our students have worked incredibly hard this year and the results they have received today are thoroughly deserved.

Having received positive results across the board, there were some stand out subjects awarded A*-A grades, including; Maths, Business, Sociology and Psychology, with the Modern Languages and Media departments also posting impressive grades.

Outstanding achiever Martyna Plucinska, whose second language is English achieved As in Psychology, Sociology and Polish. On receiving her results she said: “I am absolutely delighted, I couldn’t have asked for more from my teachers”. She now looks forward to studying at Goldsmiths University and pursuing her dream of becoming an Art Therapist.

As well as gaining places at their first choice Universities, The Crest Academy students also secured placements on competitive apprenticeship schemes. Following impressive results in Psychology, Sociology and Business, Ashley Kerr is looking forward to spending an exciting year working with the British Exploring Society through the Step Forward apprenticeship programme, who presented at the school earlier this year. “The academy organised a talk before exam season and really helped with my application. The advice I received focused on finding the right next step for me personally, not just on university.”

Assistant Vice Principal, Vanessa McCrossen commented: “We are incredibly proud of our students, their hard work and commitment has given them the opportunity to prosper in their chosen career paths.”

Our Year 12 students have also performed extremely well and are well placed to produce excellent A2 results in the summer of 2017.

Principal Mohsen Ojja said of the results: “The achievements of our students come as truly deserved rewards for the dedication and hard work they have put into their studies, we wish them every success in the future. In addition, we would like to thank our committed team of staff who have continually gone over and above in order to provide excellent teaching and guidance enabling us to reflect our vision: Every student ready for university. Every student a leader.”
