A Level and BTEC students at The CrestAcademy Sixth Form achieve the Academy’s best ever results and celebrate places at top UK universities

The Crest Academy is delighted to share the outstanding results achieved by our A Level and BTEC students. The unprecedented success of our students is testament to their hard work and dedication and is richly deserved.

Principal Mohsen Ojja expressed his pride at the record-breaking results: “Our vision at The Crest Academy is Every student ready for university, Every student a leader and it has been inspiring to see this group of Crest students excel and secure so many university places. I would also like to extend my thanks to our dedicated staff, who always set high standards and have provided our young people with every opportunity to fulfil their potential. We would like to wish everyone receiving their results today every successwhatever they choose to do next.”

Students received positive results across the board, with the average points score per A Level entry increasing by more than 4%. There were some stand out subjects awarded A grades, including; Maths, English Literature and Art, with Psychology, Sociology and History also posting impressive results.

Ayesha, who achieved ABB in her A Levels, is looking forward to studying English Literatureat Queen Mary University. On receiving her results she said: “The teachers really pushed me on to do the best I could, they really care and go the extra mile to help when you need it”.

Other top university destinations include University of Westminster, Middlesex University, City University and University of Portsmouth. Zainab, who has ambitions of working in Canary Wharf after attending Westminster University, praised the community at Crest: “Staff and other students push you on to work hard, I have loved it here and am proud to have studied at Crest”.

Alongside Crest’s best ever A Level results, Crest Sixth Form’s BTEC students also achieved outstanding results, with five Medical Science students achieving D* grades across the board – the highest grade possible.

One of these top achievers, Khushbu, plans to set up her own nursery practice after finishing university, commenting: “Crest pushes you to work hard and be independent, it encourages entrepreneurial spirit”.

Our Year 12 students have also performed extremely well and are well placed to produce excellent A2 results in the summer of 2018.

Assistant Vice Principal and Director of Key Stage 5, Vanessa McCrossen was delighted with the spectacular results: “Our students have worked incredibly hard and thoroughly deserve the congratulations today. They have set the bar high for 2018!”


Ayesha achieved an A in English Literature and two B’s in Sociology and History.
